SUMMARY:Claire A. Warden Video Works Opening
DTSTAMP:20260423T063534Z
DTSTART:20250619T013000Z
DESCRIPTION:Experience selected video works of Phoenix based artist Claire
	A. Warden at\nPidgin Palace Arts\, Wednesday\, June 18\, 6:30pm – 8:00pm.\
	n@claireawarden [https://www.instagram.com/claireawarden/]\n\n“Becoming My
	 Portrait\,” 2024\, is a silent projection. This work marks a return\nto t
he apparatus while maintaining a dialogue with Warden’s cameraless\nphotog
raphs. The durational self-portrait was exposed in camera with 16mm\nblack
-and-white reversal film. After development\, Warden used the same process
\nas in the “Mimesis” series to progressively break down the emulsion of t
he film.\nAs the granules of silver begin to unbind themselves from the de
teriorating\nemulsion layer\, her gaze at the viewer is unflinching. She r
emains present\nwhether the viewer can see her or not.\n\n✨See you here✨
