the field of archi-choreographic experiments—unique\ninterdisciplinary en
counters and performed events generated through\ncollaborations between ar
chitects and choreographers. Forty case studies\nspanning four decades giv
e evidence of the range of motivations for embarking on\nthese creative en
deavors and diverse conceptual underpinnings\, generative\nmethods\, objec
ts of inquiry\, and outcomes. Architecture and Choreography builds\nhistor
ies and theories through which to examine these works\, the contexts\nwith
in\, and processes through which the works emerged\, and the critical\nque
stions they raise about ways to work together\, sites and citations\, ethi
cs\nand equity\, control and agency. Three themes frame pairs of chapters.
The first\naddresses disciplinarity through works that critically reflect
	 upon their\ndiscipline’s tools\, techniques\, and conventions juxtaposed
against projects that\ncite or use other art forms and cultural phenomena
as source material. The\nsecond interrogates space and the role of spatial
	 dispositifs\, institutions\, and\nsites\, and their hidden and not-so-hid
den conditions\, as conceptual drivers and\nstructures to subvert\, troubl
	e\, unsettle\, remember. The third asks who and what\ndances\, finding a s
pectrum from mobilized architectural bodies to more than\nhuman cybarcorps
. Modes of collaboration and the temporalities and life cycles\nof project
s inform bookending chapters. Architecture and Choreography offers\nvital
lessons not only for architects and choreographers but also for students\n
and practitioners across design and performance fields.

	e field of&nbsp;<em>archi-choreographic experiments</em>—unique interdisci
plinary encounters and performed events generated through collaborations b
etween architects and choreographers. Forty case studies spanning four dec
ades give evidence of the range of motivations for embarking on these crea
tive endeavors and diverse conceptual underpinnings, generative methods, o
bjects of inquiry, and outcomes.&nbsp;<em>Architecture and Choreography</e
m>&nbsp;builds histories and theories through which to examine these works
, the contexts within, and processes through which the works emerged, and
the critical questions they raise about ways to work together, sites and c
itations, ethics and equity,&nbsp;control&nbsp;and agency. Three themes fr
ame pairs of chapters. The first addresses disciplinarity through works th
at critically reflect upon their discipline’s tools, techniques, and conve
ntions juxtaposed against projects that cite or use other art forms and cu
ltural phenomena as source material. The second interrogates space and the
role of spatial&nbsp;dispositifs, institutions, and sites, and their hidd
en and not-so-hidden conditions, as conceptual&nbsp;drivers&nbsp;and struc
tures to subvert, trouble, unsettle, remember. The third asks who and what
dances, finding a spectrum from mobilized architectural bodies to more th
an human&nbsp;cybarcorps. Modes of collaboration and the temporalities and
life cycles of projects inform bookending chapters.&nbsp;<em>Architecture
and Choreography</em>&nbsp;offers vital lessons not only for architects a
nd choreographers but also for students and practitioners across design an
	d performance fields.</p>
